Najavibes is a swiss reggae band based in Geneva. Since 1997, they played classics of blues and funk. But they finally oriented themselves in reggae music and made them own compositions.
Najavibes is now a reggae band with jamaican influences. But the originality is the mix of thoses different musicians who have been playing hip-hop, dub or funk. Their music became rich in colors and not so conventional.
In the first years they used to play in their own town with locals band likes Akamassa and then in little festivals around the "région lémanique".
In 2006 they produced a promotion CD four tittle called "Najawhite" and they also begined to work with Asher selector in the Riversplash festival in Slovenia. They started to work like a backing band (backing different artists) with the jamaican Sylford Walker. They also made two tours with the legendary 70's singer Prince Alla (France, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia). They also working with Raldo Asher a great reggae singer.
The 5th jully 2008 they played at the reggae night of the Montreux Jazz Festival in the Milles Davis Hall. A night organized by Asher Selector who invited Chezidek, Earl 16, Prince Alla, Sylford Walker, Qique Neira, Uwe Banton, Donovan Levy, Raldo Asher, Matic Horns. It was the greatest musical experience of Najavibes who is now keeping working with Asher Selector.
